Rockefeller Refuge Video Project
Historian and videographer Jason Theriot has partnered with Rockefeller Wildlife Refuge to document the origins and day-to-day operations of this storied coastal sanctuary. The project brings together rare film reels and historic photographs—some dating back to the 1950s and 1960s—capturing the people who built, managed, and worked at this rugged wetland laboratory. Paired with interviews from pioneering refuge managers and biologists, these materials form the backbone of a new multimedia platform that will be showcased at the Refuge’s new headquarters. The result is a vivid, immersive story of Rockefeller’s enduring legacy, designed to educate and inspire a new generation.
